So there seems to be a storm of change that has been building up for some time now. At least, since finding myself in Denver with nothing, a little over a year ago. I am happy to say that this storm, though seemingly foul and ill-weathered to some, is going to bring about a fresh, after-rain scent, a chance for the waters to clear away the filth and bring about fresh new life.
I am leaving the country for a while and am going to be living in the southern hemisphere, amongst many other travelers and backpackers in the states/territories of Australia. I have been planning this trek for some time now, and only until recently was it set in front of my face that I need to take this path instead of putting it off any further. There are many different reasons for going but I think a true reason for any man to travel is the expansion of one's perspective and consciousness. You can gain, learn and grow while staying in one spot, such as the home you've been in for years, but this progress will amass ten-fold if you get out and travel. Simple as that. Experiences in new culture and new ideas are what everyone should seek out. Travel will make it so you become more familiar with your own self and with the commonalities amongst all humans, simply by sharing with each other.
This is not a vacation, or some two week stint used as an excuse to get away from the stresses of some job I wearily find myself showing up to day after day. This travel is my life and it is my work. I urge you to try to go out and do the same, and get to know your fellow earthlings. You might learn something.
Don't fret though, because like I said, even though I am leaving town, this travel is my work, so the new posts to come will be part of my commitment, displaying new art, new philosophies and new discoveries. That being said, if you have not done so already, I hope you'll follow this blog feed by clicking the link below to see what's to come.
