7-28-14 Dingo Moon Hostel - Darwin
Monday morning in Darwin. Up before sunrise. So grateful that I am able to experience the tropical landscape and weather here at ease. Had a long, slow distance (LSD) run to the beach at other end of peninsula to do some body weight movement there, then back by 730am to jump in pool, then sit for free breakfast. Muesli with milk, PB, vegetable protein powder and a cup of hot, instant coffee. Champions are made this way. Had to switch rooms so I am waiting for the cleaning girls to finish while my life (a small pile of bags) lies on the pavement and I write this. Then it’s off to run errands in the city in hopes of making something of the time here. Julia leaves to airport today. I dropped Alex off last night. Then the second chapter of this journey begins, right here in Darwin as I sort out the next move within the next 7 days. Living peacefully for now but will be sorting out moves to make some money and pay off all of my previous month’s travel bills. Over the next week and further, you will see posts of my workouts in order to gain insight as to how I am keeping the physical side of my life balanced. I continue to meditate and keep myself balanced outside of the physical as well. All aspects must be trained. You can follow along with these workouts and see if any of the movements can be implemented into your own routines or hopefully get inspired to begin your own life fitness plan. Message me with any questions on the movements.
LSD run (round trip) - Roughly 4km - 31 minutes (This one took me a while because I was busy getting lost and backtracking in the city streets and pathways a lot haha. The distance is an estimate since I didn’t map it nor do I have a device to track that.)
25 Hand-to-floor crunches
25 Hand-over-chest crunches
25 Lying leg lifts
20 Oblique crunches (each side)
25 Heels to heaven
20 Elbow-to-knee oblique crunch (each side)
20 Toe reaches (each side)
P.S. One last thing. I am setting up to send out some brand new post cards and original photography art. The writings and photography will be packaged together and sent out to you as a way to keep in touch with my travels and as a way to help support. If you would like to help take part in this "postcard project" then get in touch with me through the contact form. Thanks so much and look for further news soon.
